Green Together
Join us to discuss ways we can make a greener future
In February we are meeting to start conversations with people who care about our future, through our Green Together event, and you can be a part of it.
It begins on the evening of 22 February with talks from our researchers on a whole host of topics.
From house insulation and fuel poverty, to textile waste and plastics.
Then, on the 23 and 24 February there are lot of opportunities to get hands-on with activities and tabletop games.
Learn about why soil matters, how small fibres find their way into the environment, and what the future of our electricity system will look like.
Come along and meet our friendly scientists and engineers, and understand the parts at play in the world around us.

- Microfibres and fashion – exploring the microfibres produced by the washing and drying of our clothes.
- Thinking about waste and what happens to it— exploring the recycling sorting process.
- Carbon foot-printing— see ways you can “shop around” everyday products and estimate the carbon footprint of your shopping basket.
- Materials— how they will play a part in a greener future.
- Tabletop games— see what we can learn about carbon, life, and chemistry from our global shared story. Where do we, as humans, fit in?
