Applying for a change in your supervisory team
You can follow this process if you wish to apply to change your main supervisor, co-supervisor(s) or advisor.
You are encouraged to come and talk to the Doctoral Academy or PGR Advisor (Pastoral) where relevant about your situation before applying to change your supervisory team, you can contact the Doctoral Academy Progression Team to arrange an appointment. This will help us to determine if it is the most suitable option for you.
Before you apply to make any change, you should have:
- read and understood the Supervision Policy for Postgraduate Research Degrees;
- discussed your plans with the Doctoral Academy;
- discussed your plans with your current supervisor(s) and your Head of PGR;
- discussed any potential funding implications and inform them of any change in supervisory arrangements;
- discussed any potential ATAS implications that a change might have with the Student Immigration Team (if you are an international researcher).
