What is the EPSRC Mathematical Sciences Open and Open Plus Fellowship?
The EPSRC Mathematical Sciences Open and Open Plus Fellowships are personal, career development–focused awards that support talented researchers to pursue independent research and develop leadership within the mathematical sciences.
The fellowships are funded by the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC), part of UK Research and Innovation (UKRI). They are open to researchers at all career stages and support high-quality research where the majority of novelty lies within mathematical sciences.
Open Plus Fellowships include an additional focus on enhancing the research environment and culture, alongside the applicant’s research programme.
At The University of Manchester, fellows join a vibrant mathematical sciences community and benefit from a supportive research environment, academic mentoring and professional development opportunities.
