Fast-track your application to master’s study

Our fast-track scheme could be your pathway to an exciting future!

Are you a current undergraduate student within the Faculty of Science and Engineering at The University of Manchester?

Do you have aspirations to continue your studies at postgraduate level?

The fast-track scheme is designed to provide high-achieving final-year undergraduate students with a streamlined application route to taught master’s courses within the Faculty of Science and Engineering.

If you are expected to achieve a 2:1 degree classification or higher, this scheme offers you the opportunity to apply for a conditional place on a taught master's course in the Faculty, subject to places being available.

How it works

To qualify, you must be a final year undergraduate student at The University of Manchester who is predicted to achieve a 2:1 degree classification or higher in a suitable degree subject.

Once you meet the eligibility criteria, enter the course you are currently studying to see which Fast-Track options are available to you. You can then use the specific Fast-Track application links to apply, where you'll be considered for a conditional offer for a taught master’s course within the Faculty of Science and Engineering.

If successful, you will receive a conditional place on a taught master’s course, giving you peace of mind as you approach the final stages of your undergraduate studies.

Important information before you apply

  • For most courses you must have obtained a minimum average of 60% in year 2 to be considered through Fast-Track.
  • Once you have applied through Fast-Track, please do not submit another application for the same course, please wait for our Fast-Track decision.
  • If you are interested in multiple courses, you need to submit a separate Fast-Track application for each course. Do not write multiple courses in one application.
  • Please use the same name, student ID and email address as your undergraduate record.
  • You are only eligible to apply in Fast-Track for the course or courses listed in the available programmes section below.

Search for the course you are currently studying, and click the subject button to see which master's courses offer a fast-track application. If your course is not listed below, unfortunately, fast-track applications are not available. However, you are still welcome to apply for any of our postgraduate taught courses through the standard application process.
